We invite you to enjoy the world's best performances performed by world opera stars in the medieval castle of Olavinlinna!
The most anticipated and longest-running cultural event in Finland is the International Opera Festival in Savonlinna.
The festival has been held at the Olavinlinna fortress since 1912. More than 60,000 spectators from all over the world attend the festival annually.
Every summer, modern stage constructions gather in the large courtyard of the medieval castle. The castle walls have unique natural acoustics.
EXCURSIONS AROUND THE WORLD
During the days of the opera festival, a unique Thursday excursion takes place in the Olavinlinna Fortress, during which you can get acquainted with the mysterious world behind the scenes.
Tours are conducted in English and Finnish.
